I got my dream job in my last job change.
I'm really enjoying my work.
1 year TFE experience (43 years old)
Job description
In my previous job, I was an operator at a printing factory. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for flyers for restaurants and other businesses disappeared across the board, and the company was on the verge of bankruptcy, so I decided to change jobs. It was a big decision for me because I have a wife and two elementary school-aged children, but my wife encouraged me by saying, "Why not go ahead and do what you like?" So I aimed for a computer-related job that I had always wanted to do, and after training at a polytechnic (vocational training center), I changed jobs to TFE. My current job is to switch the IP addresses of the network servers in the Tokai area's offices. The processing is done remotely from a building in Sakae. It was my first job, but my senior colleagues gave me careful and easy-to-understand guidance and left me to do what I had learned, so I was able to start smoothly. Since my job supports information infrastructure, I value accuracy above all else.
What I Gained Beyond Responsibility
There are many reasons, such as the feeling that you are supporting the information infrastructure of the world and your own growth, but for me it is the joy of doing what you want to do as a job. I hated studying when I was a student, but after I quit university and started working, I became interested in learning things I didn't know, and I liked computers so I obtained a CAD qualification, and even at a vocational training center I started a self-study group and studied programming. Now that I've made my hobby my job after 10 years, every job I do is new and fun. My wife also says that I've become more lively since I changed jobs. I've heard that the company will be taking on programming projects to automate network-related tasks, so I'm looking forward to the future.
This is what I like most about TFE
All the employees are full of energy.
It is a place where employees, including myself, work with enthusiasm. I think that the idea of valuing employees and considering them an asset is deeply rooted there. For example, I joined this company when I was over 40 years old and had no experience, but I have never been dissatisfied with the salary or treatment. In addition, the company has trust in its employees, and if there is something that employees want to do, they are encouraged to do it. I think that many employees want to contribute to the company because they are valued by it. Even when talking to various people within the company, it is natural to hear words from the company's perspective, such as "How can we keep costs down?" and "How can we make our customers happy?"
